Portland indie-americana duo, The American West and MAITA, seamlessly weave together their distinct songwriting with warm harmonies, like the merging of a hidden heart and a weather beaten topographical map. Their current west coast tour comes hot on the heels of a month-long tour of Europe supported by ROLA music (Radiation City, Worth, The Weather Machine), as well as tours in Canada and the western US. Both the American West and MAITA have new records on the way. MAITA's EP is currently being mixed by John Askew (Neko Case, Laura Gibson) and The American West's upcoming album is engineered and mixed by Jordan Richter (Band of Horses, Aaron Neville). They will be available later this fall.
